The quality of the product has the direct correlation to the customer satisfaction. The product having consistent output with less defect produces a high-quality product which would make the customer satisfied. That is why, there are various processes put in place by many organisations to eliminate any defects inside their organisation which are called Statistical Quality Control. With this process, it gives an idea to any organisation about how defective they are and helps them to improve their efficiency. The first step that should be taken for this process is planning & hence its core objective should be known. Otherwise, it will not have much potential towards eliminating defects in the company's products or services provided by them. The companies that plan their processes well and carry out the same on daily basis can eliminate defects in their product or services provided by them. This will help them to improve the quality of their products they sell, thus making them competitive. The process of statistical quality control means conducting a test procedure which would help to measure the defects present in the product or service recently implemented by an organisation. The process is divided into three phases based on the defect test procedure; these are; 1) Defect Identification, 2) Defect Elimination, and 3) Defect Prevention. This process helps an organisation to reduce their production costs along with increasing their profits. The following information would help to inform a better understanding about this process: The term statistics was introduced by Karl Gustav Jacob Weierstrass in 1872 which means art of measuring the quantity of error. In the statistical quality control, various tests are used to measure the effect of defects on the overall performance. These tests helps to control the defects present inside a product or service provided by an organisation or product.
